OUR GOSPEL
At Bible Baptist Church we preach the biblical, old fashioned gospel. The gospel teaches
the following truths:
ABOUT MAN:
Man has an eternal soul. Hebrews 9:27
Man inherited a sinful nature at birth. Psalm 51:5
Man is a sinner in the sight of God. Romans 3:23
Man is condemned until he believes. John 3:18
ABOUT GOD:
God is good to everyone. Psalm 145:9
God always judges righteously. Isaiah 45:21
God gives to those who do not deserve it. Psalm 145:8
God is totally separated from sin. Isaiah 6:3
God loves unconditionally. 1 John 4:16
ABOUT SIN:
Sin is rebellion against God. Isaiah 53:6
Sin cannot go unpunished. Deuteronomy 7:9, 10
Sin's punishment is eternal death. Romans 6:23
Sin can only be paid for in blood. Hebrews 9:22
ABOUT JESUS:
Jesus is God in human flesh. John 1:14
Jesus lived a perfectly righteous life. Hebrews 4:15
Jesus died for sinners. Isaiah 53:5
Jesus rose from the dead. Acts 17:31
Jesus lives as the only Savior. Isaiah 45:22
ABOUT SALVATION:
Salvation brings deliverance from sin. John 3:16; Galatians 1:4
Salvation guarantees a place in heaven. 1 John 3:2
Salvation is God's work. Jonah 2:9
Salvation is offered to all men as a free gift. Romans 3:24
Salvation is received by trusting in Jesus. Acts 16:31

OUR PASTOR
Russell Boone is our pastor. He has a wife (Tammy) and 3 boys (Philip, Andrew, James). Pastor
Russ was born in Anchorage, Alaska and was raised in Bangor, Maine. He was converted and later
baptized at the age of 20 while under the ministry of Pastor Ron Bean of Grace Bible Church in
Bangor. As a child he grew up in independent Baptist churches and attended Christian schools.
After high school graduation, he attended Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake, New York, for
the 1-year Bible program. It was shortly after this that he first truly received Christ as Savior. After
being born again, he moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, to attend Baptist Bible Institute (a ministry of
Wealthy Park Baptist Church). In Michigan, he met Tammy, and about a year later they were
married. They moved to Warren, Maine, where they worked in Calvary Baptist Church and attended
Calvary Bible Institute. From Maine they moved to Santa Monica, California to work in Bible Baptist
Church under the ministry of Pastor Ross Hodsdon. Russ served as assistant pastor for about 5
years, after which he became the senior pastor.
Tammy Boone was born in Elgin, Illinois and was raised in Beckley, West Virginia. For several years
she attended and served in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. She attended Appalachian Bible College and
Grand Rapids Baptist College (later renamed Cornerstone University). While at Grand Rapids
Baptist College, she worked in Wealthy Park Baptist Church, where she met and married Russ. She
earned her B.A. in education and presently homeschools Philip, Andrew, and James.
